Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band proud to support local charity fundraiser

To round off a busy weekend, the Band turned out on Sunday 12th July to support Timperley charity organisation, The 33, at their annual fundraiser and 70th anniversary celebration.

The Thirty Three are a charity fundraising group based in Timperley. They were formed in 1945, and meet fortnightly to support - smaller - local causes.

The day began with a parade from Timperley Conservative Club to the site of the former Sylvan Inn, where The 33 first met 70 years ago.

The summer fair was a great success and the Band performed in the grounds of the Conservative Club to the delight of the many friends of The 33 who had come out to support the charity.

The 33 Chairman John Everton expressed his appreciation to the Band, saying

"Thanks for enhancing the 33's Summer Fair & 70th birthday celebrations. Your contribution, notably the rendition of "Faith of our Fathers" at the site of the Sylvan, where we began, will be long remembered. All the best!"

In return, the Band would like to thank John and all the organisers for their warm welcome and kind words.
